This day tour starts in the capital Tirana or Durres. Meet with our local guide and continue driving to the lagoon of Karavasta. It is the largest lagoon in the country and is most notable for featuring 5% of the world population of the globally endangered and extremely rare Dalmatian pelican. Occasionally the park is visited by flamingos and takes a different atmosphere. It is separated from the Adriatic Sea by a large strip of sand, where we will take a boat tour to admire and watch a diversity of birds. A visit at the watching tour is up for great views of the surrounding park and the coast of Adriatic.
Next, we head towards the famous Castle of Berat. While walking in the castle, you can enjoy the narrow streets and the traditional houses. From above you will be able to have an amazing view of the city.
After a traditional local lunch in the castle, we will have some time to discover Mangalem neighborhood, walk along Osumi river, and take great photos of Gorica bridge. These amazing quarters have made it possible that the city of Berat to list under UNESCO World Heritage.
Enjoy some free time on your own and in the afternoon we head back to your hotel.
