These areas are beautifully surrounded by mountains, rivers, and several fruit plants. You will feel the charm of the lake and the local North Macedonian minority by walking around the village. We will organize a boat tour to the island of Maligrad. Here is founded St. Mary church built in the 14th century. The views are speechless and you will be in the company of many birds and pelicans. After visiting the church, we sail back to the village.
The next destination is Lake Ohrid, which unique nature is protected by UNESCO World Heritage. First, we will visit the fish farmer’s village of Tushemisht, which is famous for the endemic fish “belushka”. Near the village is also Drilon park, a former vacation place of Albanian communist leader Enver Hoxha.
Our drive continues for a stop to the city of Pogradec, located on the shores of the lake. It is a popular family vacation site because of its fresh climate in the summer times.
Last but not least is the stop at Lin village located in the northwest of Lake Ohrid. At the top of the hill is founded one of the oldest paleo Christian basilica dating back from 4th – 5th century A.D. We will conclude this great tour with a walk through the village and the ruins of the church.
In the afternoon, drive back to your hotel.
