Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Tirana (D)
Welcome to Albania! Settle into your hotel in Tirana, the country's colorful and lively capital, followed by a city tour of Tirana to see its main landmarks and get your first taste of Albanian culture. In the evening, kick off your culinary adventure with a welcome dinner featuring live traditional music, setting the tone for a week of authentic Albanian flavors and warm hospitality.
Day 2: Tirana – Pogradec – Korçë (B, L)
Travel south to Lake Ohrid, one of Europe's oldest and deepest lakes, stopping in the charming fishing village of Tushemisht. Here, enjoy a lakeside lunch featuring koran fish — a rare, prized species found only in Lake Ohrid's waters. Continue to Korçë, Albania's culinary and cultural hub, where a city tour takes you through the vibrant old bazaar, Korçë's charming streets, and landmarks that showcase the town's rich cultural heritage.
Day 3: Korçë – Boboshtice – Gjirokastër (B, L)
Head to the picturesque village of Boboshtice, famous for its traditional raki reputation. Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class with a local chef, learning the secrets behind classic Albanian dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Afterward, enjoy your homemade creations for lunch before continuing to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Gjirokastër, known as the "City of Stone." Round off the day with a city tour of Gjirokastër, including a visit to the hilltop Gjirokastër Castle overlooking the Drino Valley.
Day 4: Gjirokastër (B, L)
Explore the surrounding countryside with a visit to a nearby hilltop village overlooking the Drino Valley. Enjoy an authentic lunch at a local family home, where generations-old recipes and warm hospitality take center stage. Return to Gjirokastër to explore its Ottoman-era streets and historic bazaar at your leisure.
Day 5: Gjirokastër – Berat (B, D)
Travel to Berat, the "City of a Thousand Windows" and one of Albania's most photogenic UNESCO towns. Enjoy a city tour of Berat, visiting Berat Castle and the historic quarters of Mangalem and Gorica, connected by the iconic Gorica Bridge. In the evening, indulge in a wine degustation dinner in Berat's renowned wine region, sampling local varietals paired with regional dishes in a setting as beautiful as the wine itself.
Day 6: Berat – Mrizi i Zanave – Tirana (B, L)
On your final day, journey to Mrizi i Zanave, one of Albania's most celebrated agritourism estates, known across the country for its farm-to-table philosophy and homemade specialties. Enjoy a farewell lunch showcasing the very best of Albanian farmhouse cuisine before transferring back to Tirana, bringing your culinary journey through Albania to a delicious close. - Can I book the tour as a solo traveler? Is there a single room supplement?
Solo travelers are welcomed to join this tour. Solo travelers will be paired with a fellow guest of the same gender for accommodations, or they can opt to book a private room for added comfort and privacy.
- Should I book pre/post tour accommodation?
Pre tour accommodation is not included in the price. You will need to book by yourself or arrange it with us. Last night accommodation in Tirana is included.
- Is the tour departure guaranteed?
Our multi-day tours are guaranteed to depart with a minimum of three participants. A tour can be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached up to 20 days before the start of the tour. We will contact you with alternative travel suggestions. - What type of accommodation is provided?
Accommodation is typically in standard 3* hotels, with occasional stays in guesthouses in rural areas. We ensure all accommodations are clean, comfortable, and serve a good breakfast. Additionally, we prioritize locations that are close to tourist attractions for your convenience.
