All around Lake Ohrid – Day tour from Tirana

Meet with your tour guide in your hotel lobby and drive towards the southeast of Albania. After crossing the border of Qathe-Thane, we take the first stop in Struge. It is a beautiful city by the lake and the passage of the Black Drin River. Struga is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee by the river.

The journey continues to the old town of Ohrid. The "City of Lights" is situated on the lake side of the hill. Ohrid is the most tourist destination in North Macedonia with a long and rich history. The walking tour starts from the upper town where you will visit the ancient theater, Samoil's fortress, St. John of Kaneo, St. Sofia church, and ends at the port. Here you will have some free time for lunch.

After lunch, the drive continues along the southern part of the lake. We take a photo stop at the Bay of Bones, before arriving at the monastery of St. Naum. It is the most beautiful monastery in Macedonia and an important pilgrimage destination for locals.

Just a few km away, we cross the border back to Albania. Pogradec is a lakeside town with a peaceful atmosphere. You will have some free time for a nice walk along the promenade.

The last destination of the day is the little village of Lin. We will take a short walk on the hilltop, which offers the best panoramic views of Lake Ohrid. It is the perfect place to end this great tour around the lake.

In the evening arrive back at your hotel in Tirana.
